Unscheduled shutdowns due to abrupt machine failure cost industry heavy losses annually. Students of EE developed a prototype for health motioning of 3-phase induction motor using deep learning network for early detection and identification of faults. This project was sponsored by NCRA-CMS Lab (National Centre of Robotics and Automation-Condition Monitoring Systems lab). Their work was highly appreciated by NCRA research team and was published in 3rd International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Industry (ICRAI).
