The International Relations Program, under the supervision of Dr. Sidra Ahmed, organized a study visit to the Turkish Consulate General in Karachi. This visit was specifically arranged for students enrolled in the courses; “Foreign Policy of Pakistan” and “Foreign Policy Analysis”.
His Excellency Cemal Sangu, the Consul General, along with his diplomatic staff, warmly welcomed the students and faculty of the IR program. In his address, he elaborated on the historical and brotherly ties between the people and governments of Turkey and Pakistan. He commended the students for their thoughtful questions and encouraged them to pursue master’s degrees at prestigious Turkish universities.
Dr. Samreen Bari expressed her gratitude to H.E. Cemal Sangu for his gracious hospitality and enlightening talk. Additionally, Dr. Sidra Ahmed presented him with cultural gifts, including an ajrak and a Chitrali cap. The session concluded with group photographs and a delightful Turkish hi-tea.
