Session on Suicide and its Prevention
Suicide is an ongoing problem that has been existing in the world since a very long time. This problem is most common amongst the younger lot. Unfortunately, suicide has become a taboo and is not talked about out in the open. To address this problem and make the students of DSU aware of the symptoms and preventions of suicide, the CSR department arranged a session on suicide and its prevention on the 6th of December 2019 in DSU Executive Lecture Theatre. The core objective of this session was to educate the youth about the signs and symptoms associated with suicidal thoughts and to assist them in making healthy decisions for such victims.
The seminar was conducted by psychologists from the Institute of Behavioral Sciences by Dr. A.Q Khan Centre – DOW University of Health Sciences, organized by the CSR Department.
