Mr. Axel Arendt (Former CFO Airbus & CEO Rolls Royce Germany) Delivers a Talk to DSU’s Mechanical Engineering Students on the ‘Future Scope of Mechanical Engineers in the Aerospace Industry’

On 16-Nov-2022, Mr. Axel Arendt (Former CFO Airbus & CEO Rolls Royce Germany) who is presently on a visit to DSU, addressed DSU’s Semester 3 undergraduate Mechanical Engineering students on where the ‘Aerospace & Aviation’ industry is headed and which engine propulsion, control engineering and smart AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies are going to dominate the aerospace industry by the year 2030. In his talk, he also discussed the aerospace & aviation sectors of some of the leading countries and apprised students on how electric powered aircrafts , with minimal or zero carbon footprint, are going to dominate the aviation landscape in future. The guest speaker session was followed by an interactive Q&A session with the students and faculty of DSU’s Mechanical Engineering department.
