QEC Training Session for Preparing Effective PREE Reports

The Quality Enhancement Cell of DSU arranged this year’s training for the newly nominated Program Team (PT) members on 3rd January 2025 for the selected undergraduate and graduate programs. The training, conducted by Prof. Dr. Johar Farooqi (Director QEC), focused on Preparing an Effective PREE Report following the QAA-HEC’s PSG-2023 Quality Assurance Framework.

The training commenced with a brief on the overall PSG-2023 framework and its components, followed by an in-depth discussion on the distinction between Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) and the previous Self-Assessment standards, as well as the format, sections, and template for PREE reports. PT members were also provided an overview of the entire PREE process to contextualize their role within the QA cycle. The training emphasized the significance of their role and encouraged them to approach the process with vigor and diligence. The session also covered technical requirements, submission guidelines, and student representation for PREE as prescribed by the PSG-2023 framework.

The session was kept interactive in the ELT as well as hybrid through online broadcast to the DCK campus for PT members located there. The participants were encouraged to seek clarifications to understand the core process of the preparation of PREE Reports.
