Behind the Scenes: BS English & IR Students Explore PTV

The International Relations Program of Humanities and Social Sciences Department organized an educational visit to Pakistan Television (PTV) for the students of BS International Relations and BS English. This experience was specifically designed for students enrolled in the courses “Media, Politics, and Policy Making” and “Media and Communication Studies.”

Under the supervision of their course instructors, Dr. Sidra Ahmed and Ms. Fatima Kiran, and accompanied by the Head of Department Dr. Samreen Bari, the students had the opportunity to explore the inner workings of Pakistan’s state television network.
The visit allowed the students to gain a deeper understanding of media production, news broadcasting. From witnessing live studios and control rooms to interacting with professionals, the trip bridged theoretical concepts with real-world applications, leaving the students inspired and motivated.
