The collaborative effort of the Office of Alumni Relations, CSCR Department, and HR Dost bore fruit with a highly impactful Career Counselling Session on ‘Personal Branding’ held on Tuesday, 23rd January 2024, at DSU Auditorium. The distinguished speakers, Mr. Haris Tabassum, Group Head HR, Training & Compliance at Gerry’s Group and Ms. Faiza Qureshi, Group Head People & Culture at HRSG – Innovative Business Solutions, shared invaluable insights on building a compelling personal brand.
Attended by over 200 DSU students from various departments, the session proved to be a transformative experience, equipping the attendees with practical knowledge and strategies for shaping their professional identities. The speakers skillfully navigated the intricacies of crafting a unique personal brand, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and consistency. Practical insights on leveraging social media and showcasing one’s expertise resonated well with the attendees. As the session concluded, participants left with a renewed perspective on the impact of personal branding in professional success. Closing the enriching session, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas, Pro-VC, DSU, expressed gratitude by presenting mementos to the speakers, acknowledging their valuable contributions. DSU continues to bridge the gap between academia and real-world insights through such collaborative initiatives.

DHA Suffa University hosted its Career Fair on Thursday, January 25, 2024, attracting over a thousand students who visited the stalls of more than 75 participating companies. It provided a valuable platform for students to explore potential career opportunities and for companies to connect with potential talent. The distinguished Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Muhammad Farid Alam, the CEO of AKD Securities Limited, adding prestige to the occasion. The event was a cooperative effort involving the Career Services & Corporate Relations Department, the Office of Alumni Relations, and the Marketing Department at DSU.
