A group of BS International Relations students joined internship at one of the leading think tanks “Center for International Strategic Studies Sind (CISSS)” where they are working under supervision of research experts.

The IR program of DSU is known for its highly qualified and supportive faculty, conducive environment and academic engagements. The faculty and students are actively connected with academia, bureaucracy, think tanks, international faculty & organizations, corporate sector, NGOs, media & publishing houses through various collaborative projects.

The International Program of DHA Suffa University is committed to produce the best IR scholars and graduates to fill in the professional and social requirements. Providing internship from a very initial stage will enhance our students’ confidence and understanding of the subject, it will further enable them in building professional linkages for future endeavors.

MOU Signing Ceremony with AMOR Beautee – 14th September 2022

On 14th Sep 2022, DHA Suffa University (DSU) signed an MoU with AMOR Beautee to promote various avenues of collaboration between the two organizations. AMOR Beautee will provide discounted products to the DSU Fraternity with free delivery across Pakistan. They will also offer internship and placement opportunities as per their requirements, arrange awareness sessions for the DSU Fraternity and have agreed to start multiple initiatives that will be mutually beneficial for both parties.

Present for the MoU signing ceremony for AMOR Beautee Team was its owner and celebrity of Pakistan Mr. Sahir Lodhi, CFO – Mr. Tehseen, Consultant – Mr. Mohsin Iqbal and Marketing Consultant – Ms. Joti Bai. Representing DSU was Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas – Pro-VC, Ms. Tehseen Azhar – Director of Alumni Relations and Mr. Nauman Abdul Kalam – Executive Alumni Relations.

The ceremony started with brief introductions of the participants, after that Pro-VC Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas shared DSU’s values and vision, followed by the Alumni department introduction and responsibilities from Director Alumni Relations – Ms. Tehseen Azhar. Mr. Sahir Lodhi shared his story and vision for launching AMOR Beautee, whose primary purpose is to create employment opportunities for the Pakistani people.

Pro-VC, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas and Mr. Sahir Lodhi signed the MoU for DSU & AMOR Beautee, respectively. At the end of the ceremony, mementoes were presented to the AMOR Beautee team by the Pro-VC & Director of Alumni Relations.

Panel Discussion on “Preparing Annual Budget”

As part of DSU’s initiative to provide knowledge to determine critical success factors for any organization, Management & Social Science Department at DSU organized a Panel Discussion cum Workshop today on Preparing Annual Budget: Universities, a Case in Point.

The aim of this workshop was to develop an understanding about budgets, forecasting, inflows, and outflows in an organization and also to learn how to enlist your annual running needs, growth plan and apportion them financial values.

Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Management & Social Science Department and Lead Trainer welcomed the guests and delivered his presentation over the topic.

Mr. Majyd Aziz, Vice President at UN Global Compact Network Pakistan spoke to the participants about corporate sector ground realities and Pakistan’s current economic landscape, its opportunities and challenges. Ms. Nasreen Haque, Vice President (Development & Finance), SZABIST emphasized the need of adopting the latest technologies utilizing innovative solutions for quick decision making and financial management.

Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque, Vice Chancellor, DSU stressed that financial strategies become successful only when implemented within the stipulated time period.

After an interactive Q&A session, Brig. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas in his ending remarks expressed his gratitude to the guests for visiting and participating in the event.

Along with executives from sector corporate, faculty members from various universities also attended the session.
