The MoU signing ceremony between DHA Suffa University and Woot Tech

DHA Suffa University & Woot Tech Pvt Ltd inked in a MoU for collaboration in research and development of unmanned systems technology for various applications aligned with Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Woot Tech is the first and only manufacturer of VTOL drones in the country and recently pioneered drone based food deliveries in the country.

During the MoU signing ceremony, the Vice Chancellor DSU, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque emphasized the importance of industry-academia linkage and partnership for the development of technology driven eco-systems. The Pro-Vice Chancellor DSU, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas signed the MoU for DSU and assured rendering the services of the highly qualified faculty, the equipment available in the state-of-the-art labs of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Departments and computational resources of DHA Suffa University.

Dr. Bilal A. Siddiqui, COO & CTO and Mr. Raheel Pasha, CEO were present to sign the MoU for Woot Tech. They praised the University for its Quality of graduates and faculty. Woot Tech already employs many Suffians.

The two sides held preliminary discussions on many initiatives where collaborations may result in increasing the presence of Pakistan on the international technology landscape.

 

 

Motivational talk on “Principles of Success” by Inzamam-Ul-Haq

Motivational talk by Inzamam-Ul-Haq was organized by Director Sports /Assistant Professor Mr. MoinulAtiq under the supervision of Brig. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas (PVC).

Mr. Inzamam-Ul_Haq shared key principles of success with the participants. The most important principles he highlighted were that of being firm in their belief in Allah and respecting parents, elders and colleagues. He implored the students to develop all these qualities in order to make their life journey successful.

We would like to thank all DSU athletes who worked very hard to make this event successful. Also we would thank MS, EE, ME, CS, HSS, Marketing and Admin Department for the way they got enthusiastically involved and supported the event. Last but not the least, the way PVC facilitated was extraordinary.

 

MOU Signing Ceremony with Dr. Essa Laboratory & Diagnostics Centre

On 11th Nov 2021, DHA Suffa University (DSU) signed an MOU with Dr. Essa Laboratory & Diagnostics Centre (Dr. Essa Lab.) to promote various avenues of collaboration between the two organizations. Dr. Essa Lab. will provide discounted Laboratory & Diagnostics services to the DSU Fraternity, free medical checkup and vaccination camps, sponsorship for selected DSU events, internship opportunities, CSR/Volunteering opportunities and first preference (subject to availability) to eligible final semester students for relevant job openings in their organization.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Essa Lab’s Corporate Head, Ms. Mona Sohail, as well as other delegates from Dr. Essa Lab. DSU was represented by its VC, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque, its Pro-VC, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas, Director Alumni Relations – Ms. Tehseen Azhar and Executive Alumni Relations – Mr. Nauman Abdul Kalam.

Pro-VC, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas and Corporate Head Ms. Mona Sohail signed the MOU for DSU & Dr. Essa Lab. respectively. At the end of the ceremony, VC, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque presented a shield to Ms. Mona Sohail on behalf of DSU. Afterward, Ms. Mona Sohail presented shields to VC, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque and Pro-VC, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas, on behalf of Dr. Essa Lab.

 

Tribute to Allama Iqbal

DSU students and faculty pay glowing tributes to Allama Iqbal Rahmatullah Alaih on the auspicious occasion of his 144th birth anniversary on November 9, 2021.

Breast Cancer Awareness Session

Breast cancer is globally the most commonly witnessed form of cancer. However any disease detected and medicated in its nascent stages can turn the tables. Therefore, in order to create awareness Dr. Sobia Iqbal organized a seminar in collaboration with The Pink Ribbon Organization on the 20th of October for the female staff members and the students of the DSU.

Dr. Hina Qamaruddin from DoctHERS, was invited as a guest speaker, who explained the three basic pronged approaches towards early detection including self-examination, clinical examination, ultrasound and mammogram, and that healthy diet is the key to counter the disease.
