DSU BS (Accounting and Finance) and BS (Business Analytics and Programming) Students Visit Ibex

A group of students, studying the ‘Principles of Management’ course as part of their BS (Accounting and Finance) and BS (Business Analytics and Programming) program visited the company Ibex. on 3rd May 2024. They were accompanied by faculty member; Ms. Rabia Mumtaz and IERC Executive Ms. Maryam Shamim.

It was an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the company and its operations.

During the visit, Mr.Fahad Azam (Manager Recruitment) introduced various departments, shared his experience and guided the students. He also briefed the students about career growth and answered the queries raised by students.

Storyboarding workshop

Mr. Syed Muhammad Kashif conducted the workshop on storyboard to ignite the imagination of BS English students, intervening the realms of academia and creativity. An enriching experience to explore into the art of storytelling and digital creation.

Career Counseling Session

Featuring distinguished speakers; Dr. Sarah Syed Kazmi, Mr. Asher Mirza, and Mr. S M Kashif.BS English department conducted a career counseling session for the students so they could navigate their career journey with confidence. The session was tailored to equip students with the tools and insight to carve their path in the professional world.

Women In Business & Leadership Conference (WIBCON) 2024, PSTD – 2nd May, 2024

The CSCR & Alumni Department, in conjunction with the ILO’s and SSCC Department, proudly facilitated the participation of 20 female students and faculty members from DSU in Pakistan Society for Training & Development’s flagship event, WIBCON 2024. Held at the PC Hotel in Karachi on Thursday, 2nd May 2024, the event welcomed over 1150 participants representing both the corporate and academic spheres.

WIBCON 2024 emerged as a veritable ‘Mega Learning Festival’, providing unparalleled opportunities for all attendees to expand their knowledge horizons. With a dynamic fusion of interactive sessions, insightful discussions, and impactful workshops, the event served as a catalyst for professional growth and development.

One of the most compelling aspects of WIBCON 2024 was its transformative networking platform. Here, barriers dissolved as individuals from diverse backgrounds converged, fostering an environment where the exchange of ideas flourished and mentorship thrived. DSU participants seized this invaluable opportunity to connect with esteemed industry leaders, who graciously assumed the role of mentors, guiding them not just for the duration of the event but well into the future.

For DSU participants, WIBCON 2024 was more than just a conference; it was a pivotal moment in their academic and professional journey. DHA Suffa University conducts Self-Review 2024 of PG Programs

DHA Suffa University conducted Self-Review of PG programs on 29th April 2024 with the objective to ascertain whether these programs meet their educational objectives and outcomes as per HEC’s criteria. The Review Panel comprised of Dr. Shahzad Ashraf (Associate Professor CS, Convener), Engr. Dr. Huma Jamshed (Assistant Professor CS, Member), Dr. Asbah Qaiser (Assistant Professor HSS, Member) and Dr. Sajjad Ashraf (Assistant Professor MS, Member).

The panel reviewed the program proformas, program files, faculty files and student files as per HEC’s checklist. The panel also conducted Q&A sessions with MS & PhD students as well as faculty members of PG programs. The panel toured the campus and visited the library, laboratories, and IT infrastructure to observe the quality of facilities available on campus.

In the end, the panel met the Vice Chancellor Brig. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas and shared their views about the review process undertaken by them.

The review process was facilitated by the QEC at DHA Suffa University in collaboration with the academic and administrative departments.
