On 2nd May, 2024 CSCR & Alumni Department conducted a recruitment drive for Pakistan Cables. Approximately more than 60 students of all the departments took part in it. It was a session based drive where a brief introduction was given by Pakistan Cables about their organization to our students. This recruitment drive was a good opportunity for our engineering students to learn, grow and interact with industrial experts. The experts that took part in this drive on behalf of Pakistan Cables were: Aadil Riaz- Director HR Muarij Kerio- Lead COE & Business Partnering Zia Wahid- Unit Head Power Cable Factory Munazza Zaheer- Lead Talent Acquisition
Director IERC Ms. Safa Sattar organized an informative session on “Study, Job & Training in Germany” on 25th April 2024. The resource person, Major General Shaukat Iqbal from P2GS, shared valuable insights with DSU students on the process of applying to universities in Germany for higher studies.
Major General Shaukat Iqbal enlightened the students on various aspects of German higher education, including:
– Living expenses in Germany
– Academic program offerings
– German language courses
He also discussed various summer camp opportunities available for students in Turkey, Azerbaijan and UAE.
The session was highly interactive, with Major General Shaukat Iqbal providing detailed answers to students’ questions and sharing useful tips and resources for pursuing higher education in Germany.

ORIC- DHA Suffa University in collaboration with Office of Postgraduate Programs conducted the 2nd Annual Postgraduate Students Research Conference. The guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the conference was the Provost Karachi School of Business and Leadership Prof. Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema. The Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal Haque and the respective Deans of both faculties Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad and Engr. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hussain were also present at the occasion.
The conference was split up into 3 sessions comprising of presentations on Engineering and Basic Sciences, Computer Sciences and Management Sciences and Humanities. A total of 48 presenters shared their research work in their respective presentations with participants from DHA Suffa University, NEDUET, NFC Faisalabad, Bahria University, Karachi University and Sir Syed University.
This conference serves as an expression of commitment of DHA Suffa University towards promoting R&D activities and increasing collaboration between industry and academic institutions encouraging interdisciplinary work at all levels.

The Office of Alumni Relations in collaboration with the Management Sciences Department of DSU, organized a guest speaker session for the students of Management Sciences on Thursday, 1st February, 2024. The esteemed guest speaker for the session was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐎𝐢𝐥 (𝐏𝐒𝐎). The session was attended by PVC, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas, Dean MSS, Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Dir. Alumni & Sr. Lecturer, Ms. Tehseen Azhar and other MS Dept. Faculty members.
During the insightful presentation by our esteemed guest speaker, the journey of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) was meticulously elucidated. Emphasizing its transformative turnaround, Mr. Mohsin detailed the strategic initiatives undertaken by PSO to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities in the dynamic energy sector. From enhancing operational efficiency to fostering innovation, PSO’s commitment to excellence emerged as a driving force. Mr. Mohsin highlighted pivotal milestones, shedding light on the company’s resilience in adapting to market fluctuations. The narrative underscored PSO’s pivotal role in the national energy landscape, epitomizing a resilient corporate entity that continues to evolve, thrive, and contribute significantly to Pakistan’s economic development.
Students actively engaged with enthusiasm throughout the session, benefiting from the wealth of advice shared by the seasoned professional. Their active participation underscored a keen interest in garnering insights and knowledge, demonstrating a commitment to extracting valuable lessons from the expertise offered. The interactive nature of the engagement facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas, creating a conducive learning environment.
The PSO team has graciously extended an invitation to provide 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 and 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 to students from DSU in their upcoming hiring cycle. Additionally, in response to the request from the Dean of MSS, PSO has agreed to collaborate on a 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲, allowing for a comprehensive examination of the organization’s practices and contributing valuable insights to academic and professional arenas.
Wrapping up this enlightening session, Professor Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Dean MSS, conveyed his appreciation to Ms. Tehseen Azhar for arranging this valuable session. Dr. Bashir presented token of gratitude, in the form of memento, to the esteemed guest speaker, Mr. Mohsin Ali Mangi, expressing thanks on behalf of DSU.
