Mechanical Engineering students from DHA Suffa University visited NKR Engineering
On November 21, 2024, 5th-semester Mechanical Engineering students from DHA Suffa University visited NKR Engineering, Korangi, for an insightful industrial trip. It was organized by Industrial Liaison Officer, Engr. Naveed Ahmed Khatri and accompanied by Asst. Prof. Engr. Syed Zaid Hasany and Sr. Lecturer Engr. Mansoor Idrees Dawson.
The visit focused on giving students firsthand exposure to real-world engineering processes. At the facility, students observed the assembly of various pumps, the detailed process of heat exchanger (HX) assembly, and the operations of machine shops producing critical HX components.
A highlight of the visit was the cooling tower manufacturing facility, where students were introduced to the fabrication of structural frames, fans, and water distribution systems. The trip began with an engaging presentation by NKR engineers about their products and services and concluded with refreshments. This practical experience provided students with valuable insights into industrial practices, bridging classroom theory with field applications.
