Workshop on Sindh Factories Act -2015 – Labour Laws and Its Impact on Industry

Alumni Relations Office collaborated with HR Dost to organize a workshop on ‘Sindh Factories Act – 2015 – Labour Laws and its Impact on Industry’ by Dr. Perwez Shafi – GM – Bureau of Labor Pakistan. The workshop was held at DSU’s ELT from 09:00 am – 02:00 pm on Saturday 4th of September, 2021. Among the audience were Pro-VC DSU Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saeed Minhas and Industry professionals from Lucky Textile Mills Ltd., Burque Corporation Pvt. Ltd., Midas Safety, Opal Laboratories, HRSI, Ashkhaas HR Management & Consultants, Far Eastern Impex (Pvt) Ltd, Akhtar Textile Industries Pvt. Ltd, Herbion Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., Atlas Battery Ltd., and HR Legends, among others.

Dr. Perwez Shafi shared his vast knowledge and experience in the subject field with the participants. He provided examples of real-life cases and the rulings of the Supreme Court in those scenarios. The session was highly interactive, as the participants asked many scenario-based questions, which were answered by Dr. Perwez Shafi, along with their legal ramifications.

At the end of the session, Pro-VC expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ayaz Ali – Team HR Dost and Ms. Tehseen Azhar – Director Alumni Relations for arranging such a valuable session. He then addressed the audience to suggest courses and workshops, which DSU should offer for the development of their employees and organizations.  Pro-VC also announced 25% Scholarship to the referred personnel from their respective organizations in DSU’s MBA Program.

In the end, Pro-VC presented shields on behalf of DSU to Dr. Perwez Shafi – GM – Bureau of Labour Publications and Mr. Ghulam Mustafa – CEO – HR Legends. He then presented certificates to all the participants on behalf of HR Dost.
